A hearing was held today in Wilmington, Ohio today for Chevie Kehoe. He's and his brother Cheyne were involved in a shootout with police in Columbus last year that was caught on videotape. Today's hearing was held after a request was made by Chevie Kehoe's attorneys for a change of venue. They don't believe that Chevie can get a fair trial where its presently scheduled to begin on February 23rd of this year. Cheyne Kehoe was sentenced to 24-years in prison last month for his part in the shootout.

Chevie Kehoe was back in court today in Wilmington, Ohio as the judge considers legal representation for him. He is one of the brothers charged in the video taped shootout with police February 15th, 1997 in Wilmington, Ohio.

A Clinton County Grand Jury has handed down 16 indictments in connections with the February 15th shooting incident in Columbus, Ohio. Investigators said that warrants have been issued for Chevie O'Brien Kehoe, the driver of the suspect vehicle, on: -Three counts of felonious assault, -Three counts of attempted murder of a police officer, -One count of carrying a concealed weapon, -One count of possession of criminal tools, -One count of improper transportation of a firearm, -And two counts of fleeing.His brother Cheyne C. Kehoe, the passenger in the suspect vehicle, was indicted on: -Two counts of attempted murder of a police officer, -Two counts of felonious assault, -And one count of carrying a concealed weapon.Ohio State Police are working with the F-B-I and the Bureau of Tabacco and Firearms to investigate whether the brothers are linked to a triple slaying in Arkansas last year.

A 21-year old Ohio man convicted of shooting at two Ohio police officers in a videotaped shootout has been sentenced to 24-years in prison. Cheyne Keho was sentenced this afternoon in a Wilmington, Ohio courtroom. Keho's defense team says they will appeal the sentence. Keho's brother, Chevie is in jail awaiting his February court date on the same charges. The brothers shot at the officers last February during a traffic stop. Both officers escaped injury. In an unrelated matter, Kehoe told reporters that he has knowledge that his brother was involved in the bombing of the Federal Building in Oklahoma City. There's no comment from Chevie Kehoe's attorney.

A trial date is set now for the second Kehoe brother accused of opening fire on police in Wilmington Last February. Cheyne Kehoe will stand trial January seventh. Kehoe is accused of shooting at two Clinton county sheriff's deputies. Kehoe waived extradition from Washington State and returned to Ohio earlier this month. His brother Chevie is scheduled to go to trial in December.

Cheyne Kehoe has been returned to Ohio from Washington state, to face charges in a shootout with police last February in Wilmington, Ohio. His brother is already in Wilmington ... where both will be tried.
