The Media Archive for Central England (MACE) is the Screen Archive for the nine counties that span the entire central region of the UK. We hold a 100,000 strong collection of both amateur and professional footage dating from 1898 to the present day.

This wealth of extraordinary and rarely seen footage captures all
the quirky fashions, famous faces, politics and public opinions that
have woven through the past century.

We hold the ITV Central regional collection from 1956 to 1994
including regional documentaries, Midlands News and ATV Today.

Our unique collections also include professionally made films
illustrating topics such as industry and city redevelopment as well as amateur material exemplifying the culture, history and heart of the Midlands and beyond.
