Summary

Queen Mary and Princess Mary visit training home at Kirkdale, Scotland (Liverpool - see amendment below), and see demonstration by war orphans of the St George Plateau.

Opens with title frame. Opens with shot of man in uniform (?) with gold braids coming up steps; standing with others. The Queen comes up steps with a man who is talking to her; they walk past; followed by 2 ladies. People in crowd turn heads to see royalty. Kids in FG holding Union Jack. Shot of Queen walking with same guy and Lord Mayor; followed by whole bunch of people; including Princess.

CU railings with streamers wrapped round for decor; people stand above. The Queen and party come down steps. Queen; etc. get into car. Cars driving past large building with many children waving from balcony. Short shot of wide steps with crowd on them; VIPs coming down. Shot of car with door open; Queen Mary; Lord Mayor enter; stand talking outside car; then she gets in followed by several others. The lady in fur standing in FG; looking a bit confused. Cars drive off.
